There’s a video going around of a Moroccan woman saying that the Argan tree used to make Argan oil only grows naturally in “Morocco to be precise in the Western South of Morocco”. She explains why one should be careful when purchasing argan oil because Israel managed to plant Argan tree and they produce that oil in the occupied territories of Palestine under the name “Moroccan oil” which is one of the brand targeted by BDS.
A lot of the people in the comments (especially white people but not only them) were like “thank you I’ll make sure that my argan oil is actually sourced in Morocco I don’t want to support a genocide and colonialism” and I do believe those comments were genuine.
Except there’s two issues with the video. The biggest issue is that the “Western South of Morocco” she mentions? It’s not Morocco it’s Western Sahara. It’s the occupied territories of Western Sahara to be precise. So if you rightfully boycott argan oil for the occupied territories of Palestine because it’s produced in occupied territories/stolen land that belongs to Palestinians it actually makes sense to boycott argan oil from the occupied territories of Western Sahara for the same reasons the land doesn’t belong to Morocco but to Western Sahara.
The second and smallest issue is that the Argan tree also grows in Algeria in the region of Tindouf specifically. But honestly I don’t really care about that part to my knowledge we’re not big producers of argan oil our production is not exported so it makes sense that one would genuinely not know that Argan tree naturally grow in Algeria (yeah unlike some people seem to believe animals and plants don’t respect borders and don’t just stop living/growing when you cross a border…)

The Best Beard and Moustache Color for a Natural, Long-Lasting Look
Whether you're covering gray hairs or simply looking to enhance your facial hair, choosing the right beard and moustache color is key. But what defines a high-quality beard color? In this article, we'll break down the essentials and recommend the best products for achieving a natural and long-lasting look.
Why Choose a High-Quality Beard Color? Using a high-quality beard color ensures a safer and more satisfying grooming experience. Here's why it matters: Natural Appearance
Low-quality dyes often result in an artificial or uneven look. High-quality beard colors are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural hair color, offering a more authentic and subtle appearance. With advanced formulations, they provide even coverage, ensuring no noticeable patches or streaks.
Long-Lasting Results Cheap beard dyes may fade quickly or wash out after just a few showers. A premium beard color guarantees long-lasting results, saving you from constant touch-ups. These products resist fading due to their high pigmentation and durability, maintaining their vibrancy for weeks.
Gentle on Skin The skin on your face is sensitive, and a low-grade product can lead to irritation, itching, or rashes. High-quality beard and moustache colors use gentle ingredients, often free of harsh chemicals like ammonia and parabens. These formulations are dermatologically tested, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions.
Healthy Beard Growth Some beard dyes also contain nourishing ingredients like vitamin E, argan oil, and keratin that promote healthy hair growth. These ingredients strengthen the hair follicles, prevent breakage, and ensure a thicker, healthier beard over time. Key Features of a High-Quality Beard and Moustache Color When choosing a beard color, look for the following features:
Non-Toxic Ingredients Opt for products that are free of ammonia, parabens, and PPD (p-phenylenediamine), which can be harmful to both your skin and hair. Natural beard colors made from plant-based ingredients like henna or indigo are great alternatives.
Quick Application A good beard color should be easy to apply and not too time-consuming. Look for products that offer quick development times (around 5–10 minutes) and don't require complicated procedures.
Waterproof and Sweat-Resistant Especially if you live in a humid climate or work out frequently, choose a beard color that is waterproof and sweat-resistant to maintain its effect throughout the day.
Multiple Shades To match your natural hair color perfectly, high-quality beard color brands offer a wide range of shades. From jet black to ash brown, selecting the right tone ensures a consistent and natural finish. Best High-Quality Beard Colors for Men Here are some recommended brands that offer premium beard and moustache color solutions:
Just For Men Beard Dye Just For Men is a trusted name in the men's grooming world. Their beard dye offers a quick and easy application, with results lasting up to 8 weeks. Free from ammonia and enriched with nourishing ingredients, it ensures no irritation or discomfort.
Grizzly Mountain Beard Dye For those who prefer organic, chemical-free products, Grizzly Mountain Beard Dye is a top choice. Made from natural ingredients like henna and indigo, it provides a gradual color change, perfect for those seeking a subtler look.
Cremo No Mix Beard Dye Cremo is known for its high-quality grooming products. Their beard dye is easy to apply with no mixing required, and it comes in a variety of shades to suit any style. Plus, the formula is gentle on sensitive skin.
The Henna Guys Hair & Beard Dye If you're looking for a natural alternative, The Henna Guys offers a plant-based dye that's free of harsh chemicals. This product not only colors the beard but also conditions and strengthens the hair. Tips for Using Beard and Moustache Color To get the best results from your beard and moustache color, follow these tips: Choose the Right Shade: Always choose a color that's one or two shades lighter than your natural hair color for a more natural look. Patch Test: Before applying the product to your entire beard, do a patch test on a small area to ensure you don't have any allergic reactions. Prepare Your Beard: Clean your beard thoroughly before applying the dye. Oils and dirt can interfere with the coloring process. Apply Evenly: Use a brush or applicator to spread the dye evenly through your beard and moustache. Make sure to cover all the gray areas. Set a Timer: Follow the instructions for the recommended development time. Leaving the dye on for too long can lead to an overly dark or unnatural result. Rinse and Moisturize: After rinsing off the dye, apply a conditioner or beard oil to keep your facial hair soft and healthy. Conclusion A well-chosen beard and moustache color can be the perfect finishing touch to your grooming routine. By opting for a high-quality product, you not only enhance your appearance but also protect your skin and hair from damage. Whether you're covering grays or just want a fresher look, the right beard color can make all the difference.

The Moroccan landscape, traditions and communities behind argan and its oil.
Despite its proximity to several spots along Morocco’s tourist trail, Chtouka Ait Baha’s empty desert mountainscapes are worlds away from the colorful, bustling streets of the country’s cities. However, the relatively remote area is home to the incredible argan tree, a treasure of Morocco that provides one of the country’s most valuable exports: argan oil. Export of Argan Oil: Unlocking the Potential of Argan Oil Exports
Introduction
Argan oil, also known as "liquid gold," has gained immense popularity in recent years, thanks to its numerous health and cosmetic benefits. Extracted from the kernels of the argan tree, this versatile oil has been used for centuries by the indigenous people of Morocco for culinary, medicinal, and cosmetic purposes. As demand for argan oil continues to rise, many businesses are now looking to tap into the global market through exports. In this article, we will explore the intricacies of the argan oil export business, including its advantages, challenges, and best practices for success.
The Global Appeal of Argan Oil
Argan oil has garnered worldwide attention for its rich nutrient profile, including essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and antioxidants. These properties make it a
sought-after ingredient in various industries, such as skincare, haircare, and culinary applications. With increasing consumer interest in natural, organic, and eco-friendly products, argan oil's global market is expected to continue its upward trajectory.
Major Importing Countries
The demand for argan oil is not limited to Morocco, it's country of origin. Many countries worldwide import argan oil, with the United States, Europe, and Asia being the primary markets. France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada are also
significant importers, contributing to the expansion of the global market.
Advantages
Expanding Market: With the rising popularity of argan oil, businesses have the opportunity to tap into a growing global market and access a broad range of potential customers.
High-Profit Margins: Due to its numerous benefits and limited production, argan oil commands a high market value. This factor allows for considerable profit margins for businesses involved in its export.
Positive Social and Environmental Impact: Argan oil production plays a crucial role in supporting local Moroccan communities, particularly women
who traditionally perform the labor-intensive extraction process. Additionally, argan tree cultivation contributes to environmental conservation and helps combat desertification in the region.
Challenges
Exporting argan oil requires compliance with a range of international regulations, certifications, and quality standards, which can be complex and time-consuming. In addition, the rising demand for argan oil has led to increased competition, as many businesses enter the market. Furthermore, argan oil production is limited by the
slow-growing nature of the argan tree and the labor-intensive extraction process, which can pose challenges in meeting high demand.
Source High-Quality Argan Oil
Ensure that you are sourcing high-quality, pure argan oil from reliable suppliers. This practice is crucial for establishing a reputation for excellence in the global market. Look for suppliers that adhere to fair trade practices and support local communities.
Obtain Relevant Certifications and Permits
Obtain the necessary certifications and permits to comply with international
standards and regulations. These may include organic certification, FDA approval, and compliance with EU cosmetic regulations, among others.
Establish a Strong Brand Identity
Differentiate yourself from the competition by establishing a strong brand identity. Emphasize the unique selling points of your argan oil, such as its purity, production methods, and benefits. Develop a professional website and invest in high-quality product packaging and labeling.
FAQ
How can I get samples?
First of all, we are pleased to offer you samples. For new customers, it should be noted that the postage must be paid, while the samples are free. These costs will be deducted from the official order payment. As for the courier costs, it is possible to arrange an RPI (remote pickup) service on carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT, etc.
How does your factory perform in terms of quality control?
Quality is a priority for our factory! Every worker ensures quality control from the beginning to the end. For example, all raw materials used are environmentally friendly, and skilled workers take care of every detail by hand, whether it is the
stamping, printing, sewing, or packaging process. In addition, a quality control department is specifically responsible for quality control in each process.
Can your factory print or emboss my logo on the goods?
Yes, we can print your logo on the goods or their packaging box. However, it is important to provide an attorney letter (letter of authorization) for the logo in order to comply with patents. Generally, we produce the goods based on the samples provided by the customers or based on the image, logo, sizes, etc.

Amazighity is foundational to North Africa; it is arguably the single socioethnic charachteristic that distinguishes the Maghrib from the Middle East.
Emily Benichou Gottreich.
The second part in my Morocco series (please see here, here, here, here and here for the others).
Leaving Marrakech, we passed hotels, golf courses, apartment blocks which house and will soon house more of the booming Moroccan middle class, and many more of the seemingly endless buildings on the edge of town which are being hewn from the red earth.
But end they did, because we were soon in rural Morocco, home of the Berber/Amazigh who have lived here for millennia and whose language and culture are in everyday use in homes and schools.
The Berber were overlaid by other peoples; parts of what is now Morocco were colonised by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians and what became the province of Mauritania was part of the Roman Empire from 40 AD to 429 AD.
In 709 AD Morocco was conquered by the Arabs; they brought the Arab language and Muslim religion which are still here, and Morocco formed part of the Andalusian empire which spanned most of North Africa and most of what is now Spain and whose capital was Marrakech (founded by the Berber Almoravid dynasty in 1070 AD).
Later, Morocco took in Muslim and Jewish refugees (we passed a ruined synagogue on the way in) when in 1492 AD the Spaniards reconquered their lands from the Andalusian empire and booted out its minorities. Throughout this, the Berber have endured, new shoots being grafted onto that tree of which they are the root.
The places are (1) the Plateau of Kik, showing signs of a drought which is hitting the farming of goats, olives, almonds, and the omnipresent dates (palm trees also fill the city, being highly useful for camel traders in the past and exporters today), and the nearby villages; if you look closely at (2) you can see tents, the only home of locals whose houses were destroyed by the earthquake of September 2023 which killed 2960 and injured 5674.
(Thankfully Morocco is growing wealthier and its government cares about the well-being of its subjects, unlike the governments of some earthquake-hit countries; recovery is never going to be easy, though).
Then it was on to (3-6) a traditional Berber house where we were fed on those staples of bread and tea, and where argan oil is farmed, and (7-10) the Ourika Valley, which generates the water that is never quite enough for the thirst of the plain. This is a land filled with monkeys, foxes, wolves and camels, (so I’m told; I didn’t see any!)
In the mingling of Berber and Arab (our guide was himself mixed-race), and in the Jewish presence (unlike most Arab countries Morocco still has a Jewish population, though much smaller than before the founding of the state of Israel in 1948, to which country, and to Europe, most Moroccan Jews moved), we saw the tolerance that has always marked Morocco.
(Many Berbers were historically Jewish and this was the case since Roman times, even before Islam came to Morocco; although the state of Israel is as unpopular here as it is in every Arab country, and I saw much support for Palestine, this did not turn into widespread antisemitism, because racism is not common in Morocco).
France conquered neighbouring Algeria in 1830 and, in 1912, signed a treaty with Spain and an enforced treaty with Morocco, which meant that Morocco was divided between the two European powers; Sultan Abd al-Hafid in fact had to flee to France, so unpopular was this decision in his country.
Even those who were anti-French, though, preferred to fight for the allies in both world wars as they knew that Germany, which had been agitating in Morocco since the First Moroccan Crisis of 1905-6 (then the Agadir crisis five years later) simply wanted to replace one empire with an even worse. The First World War brought victory for France and its allies and things seemed to go back to normal.
In World War 2, the German-controlled Vichy French government, which ruled Morocco after the fall of France in 1940, was widely loathed; it tried to divide Moroccans by bringing in racist legislation of a kind not seen before or since, and (as seen in the classic film ‘Casablanca’), this was not stood for. By 1943 Morocco was freed from Vichy and was the home of the Casablanca conference of 1943 between Winston Churchill, FDR, and French Resistance leader Charles de Gaulle.
Because the war had been fought against an explicitly racist empire, because Moroccans had fought so well, and because France was so exhausted by its fighting, pressure for an independent state was irresistible. Sultan Mohammed V, who had been deposed and exiled by the French government in 1953, triumphantly bounced back as king of an independent state in 1956.
Dying in 1961, Mohammed V was succeeded by his son Hassan II, who stressed that every Moroccan has Berber “cells” and who began recognition of the Berbers; the teaching of the Berber language in state schools began in his reign in 1995, and he reigned until dying and being succeeded by his son Hassan II in 1999.
Older generations spoke only Berber and mostly could not read or write any language; the slightly younger grew up under “Arabisation”, schooled in Arabic and partly French, scorning Berber as the tongue of village women; however, even in Hassan II’s day this had begun to change and Berber is now acknowledged, especially in places like (9) Setti Fatma, but in cities too.
The 2011 constitution, which acknowledged Berber as an official language, was thus a recognition of facts on the ground. The young have found a balance which the old could not, as the motto “God, Family, King” is accepted by almost everyone, Arab, Berber, Jewish, and migrants from sub-Saharan Africa (who make up around 2-3% of the population), now living in Morocco.

November 25, 2023
Happy Ian Lanz Day! I'm 28. I'm 28... Feels weird but it feels better than being 27, just because 28 looks like an aesthetically better number than 27.
We planned to do the mini-Sahara tour today and it was nothing short of a great adventure. Woke up around 7am and ate breakfast. Didn't really eat much because I didn't like the options during breakfast so I just went with some citrus fruits and some yogurt. The driver met us up around 8am and took us to the mini desert with an ocean view. There's really something healing being in the sea. Not the lake or the river but the sea. Seeing the waves ebb and flow, smelling the salt air, feeling the breeze of the Atlantic, it feels like the crevaces of my damaged soul is being filled with some sort of magical, healing energy and I feel better. For a moment, though brief, I feel whole. This is why I wanted to go to this part of Morocco because of the accessibility of being near the sea.
After, we drove through the city and saw how their Moroccan silver is being made along with the fine jewelries that they handcrafted. We saw the markets and went again to the desert where the little Atlas mountain was. the mountain was so majestic and stalwart-looking. It looked like a bastion, a fortress, a haven for the inhabitants of the land. We took some pictures in the desert with the camels. I'm so happy that I have finally been able to hold a camel up close. They're very docile creatures and they were so gentle. I loved the experience.
We then ate in a nearby inn and had some chicken tangine and some citrus fruits locally grown. The experience was humbling as we sat on the floor and enjoyed the simplicity of life by the outskirts.
We then went to a big dam providing water to all of Agadir. After we went to a shop where they showed us how they used to process the Argan fruit that is endemically grown only in a few areas of Morocco. Morocco is the only argan oil exporter in the world because the Argan tree only grows in Morocco. We then a big hoard of camels near the riverbank on our way home feeding. They are such majestic creatures.
I can't help but feel unappreciated by Ed. Before his birthday, weeks even, I planned how to make him feel special. I organized an activity where I surprised him with his friends and I bought him a cute Apple Watch. For me, he had nothing. I know he's broke this time but not even a shirt? Or at least something? I told him this and he said he was sorry. I think I'm done being selfless for now. I don't feel that important.
I watched the sunset alone because I didn't want to be with him and I'm giving him the cold shoulder. I don't think I'm being petty. I am hurt. This day was almost perfect. I ruined it because he ruined it for me. Not the way I wanted to spend my day but I can't help but act on my emotions. He told me he was sorry. Okay, fine. I hope he'll let me be upset. He says he feels guilty for ruining my day. I told him that I don't feel bad you feel that way. He should. I'm hurt not him. It's not going to be about him this time.
Nevertheless, I had a good day. Cheers to being 28!

although I understand your point of view on African governments, don't you think that placing all the blame on Africa distracts us from what the point is a.k.a Africa's colonial past and therefore on European responsibilities.. Morocco doesn't want to force play with France and it is inevitable, I honestly don't understand they should accept it..I hear your povs, but I don't think it's the right thing to do, it gives europe an excuse to keep run over africa imho
Yeah, I don't think I'm that influential to influence africa/europe international relations like...
look I live in a country and in a city that has an obsession against moroccans like........number 1 public enemies apparently. Since I shit on europe's colonialism 24/7 too I think I have every right to be as critical towards african politics okay.
Morocco doesn't want to accept france but they enjoy diplomatic ties with the uk: same fucking country that is making a deal with rwanda's dictator to send back migrants in literal lagers. rwanda's sponsored arsenal and psg to name two clubs, just to be clear: africa, europe, other mena countries, they all have the blood of african migrants on their hands. And north africa gets billions of money to contain migration paths to europe > france included friend. I repeat, they all have bloods on their hands and I'm absolutely embarrassed to have governments like that; libya murdering migrants, tunisia being cutey with italian fascist government and the rest of the maghreb doing nothing in all of this. oh and maghrebis are still trying to escape illegally and they die in the mediterranean, too, while their governments make deals against them. I care about my people not politicians.
you know what's the problem between morocco and france, it's western sahara, you know it lol. they have no problem making deals with spain and the uk, they have no problem kissing germany in the face and going so far as licking isr*el ass which is fucking unreal from them. UNREAL. We showed palestinian flags at the world cup for what lol. So Isr*el can profit from moroccan argan oil and make it the main sponsor of that shitshow that is eurovision, like. for spain to export moroccan gas in exchange of money after russian war started, so moroccans are not even able to afford gas anymore?
Europe has no deal in Africa and I'm 100% panafrican. but we need governments who believe in this too and don't turn away from ANYONE in africa, from north to south.
